Hello and welcome to ‘whoismurriethomson.com’. As it says in the sidebar, I’ve been involved in business for 30 years and, with my wife Janet, have been running 194media from home since 1997.

When I first started up in business, working from home was ‘not the done thing’. Today of course, that attitude no longer exists - and indeed we are now positively encouraged to avoid all unnecessary travel. With no ‘drive to work’ requirement, there are less cars on our roads and so pollution and congestion are reduced.

With customers ranging from small and medium size businesses to national and multi-national companies, I consider myself very lucky ... and no client has ever walked away when I tell them I work from home. Indeed, when I speak to a potential new customer, it’s one of the first things I tell them.

And still on the subject of luck, we have many customers who have been with us for years and strive to ensure they stay with us for years to come.

From a financial point of view, running costs and overheads are greatly reduced and in many cases you can work the hours that suit you - and your customers - best.
